New Music

No posts for over a week and then three in one night (sheesh). I will hopefully be in bed asleep soon but currently I have a migraine and I am trying to entertain myself until my medicine kicks in.

I am so excited. This week some of my favorite musicians released new music.

First the band for my church released a new worship C.D. It is called "Creed" based on the Nicene and Apostles creeds. They have a page on MySpace, you can find it at Atlas Church Music. You can hear samples of the album. It is a good thing my roommate has her copy in my CD player otherwise I might have stolen it from her. I plan on buying two copies.

Next, one of my favorite musicians, Vince Gill released a new album, or four this week. "These Days" is forty three new songs over four disks. The disks include "The Rockin Record," "The Groovin Record," "The Country and Western Record," and "The Acoustic Record." Patty Loveless, Alison Krauss, Sheryl Crow, and many others joined him on this set. I haven't had the chance to give this album the attention it deserves, but I am looking forward to it.

Finally possibly my favorite new album of 2006. Dierks Bently's new album "Long Trip Alone". Dierks Bently is filling a gap left in my record collection left when Garth Brooks stopped making new music. His music gets better with every album. Take the time to check it out.

Also Sarah McLachlan released a Christmas album. I wanted to get that as well but I think I will have to wait a while. I spent a lot of money on music this week.
